The ICT is very useful in education, because these days a lot of teachers and students are using computers and internet to search for information, print out the needed information, for doing their typing work, using email, playing some educational games such as mymaths.co.uk.

Also when the computers and internet show up in education the network administrator and ICT technician jobs were created, these two jobs are important for education because the ICT technician should teach the students how to fix some errors, viruses etc. with out ICT technician it will be hard to find a person who will be

Also these days a lot of teachers are able to upload the files, folders etc. on the main education website where the students can access easily and keep up-to-date with their work. This is a good thing for e.g. if the students is absent from schools he can catch up his work at home by visiting to his own school website, log in and then find and download some information and files which the teacher had put in it.

One of the examples of the site where the students can access it and download/find the information they need is moodle:

The time tables are now generated on moodle, so the students can see what subjects do they do and what time do they start. Also the students are able to see their register and see if they have marked absent, presents, doctors appoint, sick etc. the register where the student can access and see is call E-ILP:

In E-ILP the student is able to add some extra information such as what grades have they achieved in the previous schools, what are the work experience which they have done, what are they achievements and goals which they hoping to get In future. And what are their thoughts and comments about the subjects what they are doing.

Also the teachers via Moodle is able to mark their students in the register, upload the work, edit the time table and even communicate with their students via Moodle chat here is the example:

 

Also the teachers are able to mark the student’s assignments and work by downloading the student’s work which has been uploaded to the moodle. Then after the teachers had done marking up the students work the teacher is able to post grades on moodle and students are able to see what they have achieved:
